I will also cover all Grand Prix and Junior Grand Prix competitions that time allows. I will also cover the US Nationals. During the off season, I will post about all related news, as well as moments from the past season and what to look forward to for the next.

2015 - 16 Junior Grand Prix Entries - Pairs and Ice Dance

This is a continuation of the last blog post with the entry lists of the four disciplines. This one is covering Pairs and Ice Dance.




Pairs (4 RUS, 1 UKR, 1 CZE)

  • Armina Atakhanova / Ilia Spiridonov - RUS
    • They were first in Austria and second in Poland to qualify.
  • Renata Oganesian / Mark Bardei - UKR
    • They were first in Latvia and third in Austria to qualify.
  • Ekaterina Borisova / Dmitry Sopot - RUS
    • They were third in Latvia and first in Poland to qualify.
  • Anastasia Gubanova / Alexei Sintsov - RUS
    • They won the event in USA and third in Poland to qualify.
  • Anna Duskova / Martin Bidar - CZE
    • They were fourth in Latvia and second in Austria to qualify.
  • Anastasia Poluianova / Stepan Korotkov - RUS
    • They were second in Latvia and fourth in Austria to qualify.
None of the teams have been to a previous final.

The alternates are Bryn Hoffman / Bryce Chudak of Canada, Joy Weinberg / Maximilliano Fernandez of the United States, Elena Ivanova / Tagir Khakimov of Russia.

Ice Dance (2 USA, 3 RUS, 1 FRA)
  • Lorraine McNamara / Quinn Carpenter - USA
    • They won the events in USA and Poland to qualify.
    • They previously qualified two years ago where they were third.
    • They have the highest combined score.
  • Rachel Parsons / Michael Parsons - USA
    • They won the events in Slovakia and Croatia to qualify.
  • Alla Loboda / Pavel Drozd - RUS
    • They were second in Slovakia and won in Austria to qualify.
    • This is their second straight final. They were second last year.
  • Betina Popova / Yuri Vlasenko - RUS
    • They won the event in Latvia and were second in Spain to qualify.
    • This is their third straight final. They were fourth two years ago and third last year.
  • Marie-Jade Lauriault / Romain Le Gac - FRA
    • They were second in Austria and first in Spain to qualify.
  • Anastasia Skoptcova / Kirill Aleshin - RUS
    • They were third in Poland and second in Croatia to qualify.
The alternates are Angelique Abachinka / Louis Tharon of France, Christina Carrierra / Anthony Ponomarenko of the United States, Sofia Shevcheko / Igor Eremenko of Russia. 

I will give previous before the competition begins in December.
