Okay, here is part two of my Nationals Updates with Japanese and Russian Nationals going on right now!
The Belarusian Championships were next. In the Men's event, Aliaksei Mialiokhin won his second national title. Reigning two-time champ Pavel Ignatenko won the silver medal, and Yakau Zenko won the bronze. In the Ladies event, Janina Maekeena won her second straight national title. Daria Batura won the silver medal, and Maria Saldakeevva won the bronze. In the Pairs event, Tatiana Danilova and Mikail Kamianchuk won their first national title with no other competitors. In the Ice Dance event, Viktoria Kavaliova and Yurii Beliaiev won their third straight tiel with no other competitors.
The Latvian Championships were next. In the Men'se event, Dennis Vasiiljevs won his first national title. Glebs Basin won the silver, and Luckas Kaugers won the bronze. In the Ladies event, Angelina Kuchvalaska won her second national title. Alina Fjdorova won the silver with no other competitors.
The Italian Championships were next! In the men's event, Ivan Righini won his third national title. Matteo Rizzo won the silver, and Maurizio Zandron won the bronze. In the Ladies event, Giada Russo won her second national title. Roberta Rodeghiero won the silver, and Sara Casella took the bronze. In the Pairs event, Nicole Della Monica and Matteo Guarise won their first national title. Reigning champs Valentina Marchei and Ondrej Hotarek took the silver, and Bianca Manacorda and Niccolo Macci won the bronze. In Ice Dance, Anna Cappellini and Luca Lanotte won their fifth national title. Charlene Guignard and Marco Fabbri took their sixth straight silver medal. Misato Komatsubara and Andrea Fabbri took their second straight bronze medal.
The French Champs were next. In the men's event, Chafik Besseghier took his first national title. Reigning three-time champ Florent Amdio settled for silver in a very disappointing season for him. Rising junior star Simon Hocquax took the bronze. In the Ladies event, Mae Berenice Meite took her third straight national title. Laurine Lecavalier took her third straight silver medal, and Alizee Crozet took the bronze. In the Pairs event, Vanessa James and Morgan Cipres took their fourth national title. Camille Mendoza and Pavel Kovalev took the silver with no other competitors. In the Ice Dance event, Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron took their second national title. Lorenza Alessandrini and and Pierre Socquet took the silver with Peroline Ojadris and Michael Bramante took the bronze.
The Finnish Champs were next. In the Men's event, Valter Virtannen won his second straight national title. Roman Galay took the silvera and Matthias Verslus won the bronze. In the Ladies event, Anni Javarpena won her first national title. Jenni Saarinen took the silver, and former champ Juulia Turkillia took the bronze. In the Ice Dance event, Cecilia Torn and Jussiville Partanen took their first national title. Reigning champs Olesia Karmi and Max Lindholm took the silver with no other competitors.
The Four Nationals Championship were next. Basically, it's the combined national championships for the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland. I will give the overall results and then the medalits for each country.
In the Men's event, Michal Brezina of the Czech Republic won the competition for third time. Igor Reznichenko of Poland took the silver, and Jiri Belohradsky of Czech Republic took the bronze. In the Ladies event, Nicole Rajicova of Slovakia won. Ivett Toth of Hungary took the silver, and Fruzsina Medgyesi of Hungary took the bronze. In the Pairs event, AnnaMarie Pearce and Mark Magyar of Hungary won with no other competitors. In Ice Dance, Federica Testa and Luckas Csolley of Slovakia won with Natalia Kaliszek and Maskym Spodyriev of Poland taking the silver with no other competitors.
